Last week when I was over at my friend's house, she was making this bread.If you love that fancy restaurant bread with the crackling crust and soft center, this is the bread for you. It sounded really good, and then I saw the results so I had to try it for myself. While I admit I seem to be jumping on this person's bandwagon (sorry Char...what can I say, you are amazing), this recipe is too good not to share! It's actually really easy; a little messy, but very simple. I didn't have instant yeast, so I just used a little more of active-dry yeast and it turned out great. While mine doesn't look that pretty, it tastes delicious. Everyone in my house loved it and we ate the entire loaf yesterday. We will definitely be making this again.
