No Knead Rustic Bread

Last week when I was over at my friend's house, she was making this bread. If you love that fancy restaurant bread with the crackling crust and soft center, this is the bread for you. It sounded really good, and then I saw the results so I had to try it for myself. While I admit I seem to be jumping on this person's bandwagon (sorry Char...what can I say, you are amazing), this recipe is too good not to share! It's actually really easy; a little messy, but very simple. I didn't have instant yeast, so I just used a little more of active-dry yeast and it turned out great. While mine doesn't look that pretty, it tastes delicious. Everyone in my house loved it and we ate the entire loaf yesterday. We will definitely be making this again.

  1. You'll notice there are no pictures of my first attempt. ROFL. Glad you liked it! I dipped some of mine in olive oil and balsamic vinegar this last time and it was delicious.

  2. Bread totally makes me break into a cold sweat! Do you have a kitchen aid? I think one day, when i get one, I'll try making bread until i can perfect it and it doesn't make me so nervous!
    Yours sure does look yummy!!!

  3. Corbin served his mission in Europe and loves this kind of hard on the outside, soft on the inside bread. In the summer we go to the farmer's market and buy it, maybe now I can make it?
