Baby Shower Gifts

I had two different baby showers recently. The first was for my friend who isn't finding out what she's having. This is her second, and she didn't find out with her first baby either, so she already has all of the neutral stuff. Both are July babies, so even the seasons are the same. I didn't know what to get her, so I went with the diaper cake and diaper wipes case since every baby needs diapers and wipes, right? I replaced the receiving blankets with baby lotion, baby powder, and baby body wash.

The second baby shower was for my sister-in-law. I went with appliqued onesies and matching burp cloths. They are having a boy, so I made a tie for church. My brother loves soccer. She is a big Green Bay Packers fan. (My brother is a Steelers fan, but I couldn't find any cotton fabric that would work). My brother is a contractor, so I did a cute little hammer. I love them and think I may make a little hammer for my son.

  1. Hey Tam! You are a wonder woman for just having your 3rd baby and making all these cute crafts! Darling casserole dish and onesies!! I love that diaper cake and wipes case as well! Hope you are doing well and that cute little guy of yours is doing well too! You need to post pics of your little boy! :)

  2. These are so cute! Did you just use iron-on fusible webbing stuff or sew them on?

  3. Embellished Bayou - I use wonder under, which is iron-on fusible found in fabric stores with the interfacing. I also sewed them on just to be safe. The ties are pretty much straight lines so I used my machine, but the curvy appliques are hand-stitched with a simple backstitch. Let me know if you try them!
