I'm still here! We had a wonderful (and very busy) holiday season, then all three kids got hit with sickness (at different times of course), so I'm sorry I've been MIA. I haven't been sewing as much lately. However, I did get the pictures of the crib bedding I made. Here's how it turned out. The baby blanket is backed with minky just like all my other baby blankets. I'm really pleased with how it turned out, and mommy (and daddy) both really loved it and are excited for their little one to start using it. These pictures really don't do it justice, but you get some idea. Here is the bedskirt. I used this tutorial, however, I didn't really use it much because the bed skirt was simply measure, hem, gather, stitch. I serged my seams as well even though the tutorial didn't say so, simply because I love that clean, finished look. From the same site, I used this tutorial for the crib bumper. The bumper pads came with instructions, but I liked the online tutorial better because it added the piping along the top, which I think makes it look so much better. Here's the inside view: Then the outside: It was a very fun project to work on! If anyone wants their own custom crib bedding, let me know and I would be happy to make it for you!
