Blog Swap: {Blue Cricket Design}

Today's blog swap needs no introduction. We all know the incredibly talented Becca of Blue Cricket Design. Is it really possible for someone to be so amazing? Yup....Take it away Becca!
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
Hi there! I'm Becca from Blue Cricket Design and I am thrilled to be here today! Tam and her blog are both "sew dang cute!" I can see why you love it over here!

I'm a lot like your gal pal Tam (except for the fact that I only run if I'm being chased!)! I'm a mother to three girls and a wife who gets to stay home and be raised by her kids! It's always an adventure! I too have a creative space on line where I share my sewing projects, craft ideas, photoshop tips, recipes, furniture refinishing projects and more! It's my way of sharing and recording my adventures of self expression !

If I could sit behind my sewing machine all day I would! I'm rooted in self taught sewing and love creating my own patterns, refashioning and inventing helpful solutions! Here are a few past favorite sewing projects I think you might enjoy! Click on the photos to be taken to their original post!

I embellished this shirt with Tulle paint and Tulle! A simple technique that added a lot of texture.

This was probably my favorite revamp project last year! I took a $2,50 clearance sweater and embellished it with a gray shirt! It's all about envisioning something new!

YOu know when you go to the clearance rack and all they have is size XXXL!!! Well don't pass them up! I refashioned a large adult skirt into this adorable dress for my daughter! I even utilized the existing zipper!

We had a kindergartner for the first time ever and when we bought her School Spirit shirt it was less them flattering! Boxy and boyish so I went to work to fem it up! A simple Spirit Shirt makeover is just what it needed!

And lastly I created this Coupon Caddy to hold my coupon holder and redeamable coupons! I was so frustrated with my shopping trips! My baby would eat my coupons or I'd hold the coupons I planned on using in my pocket only to forget to use them at check out! SOLUTION: Coupon Caddy holder!

I share a ton of other ideas over at Blue Cricket design that I would love to share with you! Come on by and see what else I've been up to! I also have a fun linking party every Wednesday! It's a collection of amazing projects from around the web! Come add yours!

Thanks Tam for the great swap!!!Happy Sewing!

  1. Oh, I just love the coupon caddy! My son constantly is grabbing at my grocery list and coupons. He likes to "read" them to me (he's 18 months old). This is a great idea! Thanks so much for sharing!
