Gift for Naomi

My sister is pregnant with her 5th child!!! Wow..she's amazing!! Of course I wanted to make something for her, so after talking with her about what she needs wants, we decided on a rag quilt. She's having a girl and envisioned pinks and browns for her little Naomi, so this is what I made. I love how it turned out! The pattern is Ellie Jane by Sweet and Shabby Designs. (I am now selling their patterns!!! They are being shipped to me now, so I'll explain more about that later this week.)

Anyway, I decided to pair the quilt up with a matching appliqued onesie. I used the applique printout from the quilt pattern and shrunk it on my copier to 50%.

Then to make the onesie even more adorable, I made it a ruffle-butt as well, using this tutorial by Crap I've Made! I discovered in the process that my sewing machine has a rolled hemmer foot! SWEET!!! It made it so quick and easy!

These have been done for a while, but I didn't want to post it on the off-hand chance my sister checked this blog. I finally gave them to her today and she LOVED them, which makes me so happy!
