Turning a Tube Inside Out in SECONDS!!

We've all been there. You sew a skinny little tube and then have to turn it inside out. Maybe you grab a paper clip and spend forever on the process. My mom taught me this trick for turning tubes inside out, and it is SUPER QUICK!

Let's start out with the tube.

(Contrasting thread used for demonstration purposes)

You've sewn it RST and now need to turn it out. Clip the corners being careful not to cut through the seam.

I didn't take pictures step-by-step of the rest, but I did include a video, so I hope it makes sense.

Sorry if my fingers got in the way. Here's the basis of it. On the end with the clipped corners, bunch a little bit of fabric over your stick (pencil with erasers work great because the fabric kind of sticks to the eraser). Then shimmy a little bit of fabric down until you can just pull a good amount over the stick. Then just pull the rest. Leave your stick still in there and poke out the corners, then let your stick fall out.

Let me know if you have any questions!

Puff Quilt for Hannah

My brother and his wife are having a baby girl in October, and are naming her Hannah. When I asked my sister-in-law what she needed/wanted, she told me a soft blanket. When I saw this puff quilt tutorial by Honeybear Lane, I knew that's exactly what I was going to make for little Hannah. Using the beautiful line, Blush, here's what I came up with. It is so soft and cuddly. I used dark brown dotted minky on the back and love it! My girls now want one for themselves, and my one-year old son plopped down on top of it and grinned so I hope mom, dad, and baby like it, too!

Product Review & Giveaway ***ENDED***

Remember when I mentioned a cool website I had recently discovered...CSN Stores, a site that has everything from le creuset items to home decor items! I was given the opportunity to review a product they sold. I chose the Nesco 18 Qt. Electric Roaster Oven. I got it a little bit ago and have had so much fun playing with it.

Now I'm sure when you see one of these, you automatically think you would only use it once or twice a year when you roast a turkey, right? That's kind of what I was thinking. But guess what?! You can do SOOOO much more with it. You can roast, cook, bake, steam, and slow cook.

Here are some of the things I have done with it.

Chocolate Zucchini Bread. Yes you can bake bread with it!!!!! Place two loaves inside. Set the temperature dial the same as you would in a regular oven, cook as long as recipe directs, and voila! I also made Roasted Garlic Potatoes. My broiler pan fit quite nicely. Sour Cream Chicken Enchiladas. A 9x13 pan rests right on the rack. Creamy Lemon Crumb Squares. Super easy, and as long as what you're cooking doesn't spill over, you don't have any clean-up.

In the summertime, I don't like to to use my oven as much because it heats up the house. Now I don't have to worry about that. I use my Nesco Roaster Oven instead. I get all the benefits of the cooked food, delicious smells filling my home, but without the added heat. Awesome!!! I can't wait to try even more....cookies, casseroles, and of course, a turkey!

Want your own one of these babies? CSN Stores is generously giving away a $70 gift certificate to use towards any one of their 200+ online stores to one lucky Sew Dang Cute reader. To enter, simply leave a comment. You have until Monday, August 16 @ Noon, MST. Good luck!
