I Know I Need To Do Better

I owe you guys so many apologies. I am so far behind in so many things and I just can't seem to catch up. I hate to sound like I'm taking a cop-out, but seriously, I have never felt this awful in my life. This pregnancy is worse than my other three combined then multiplied by 50. I put on a face most of the time, because I don't think everyone wants to see how I really feel, and I don't think they should have to. I'm already halfway, and some days are better than others, but even on "good days", I only have a few hours when I feel "ok". I promise I'm trying to do the best I can, and I'll try to do better. I've received a lot of questions about things, so I'm going to address a few of them.

1. The "Crafting with the Stars" tab is not updated, which makes the contest difficult to follow unless I check your blog everyday.
**Update: The CWTS tab has been updated***
I am so sorry. I haven't kept up on this like I did in Season 1. I wish I could tell you guys that I will fix it right now, but it just doesn't seem to be happening for me. I will get it fixed soon, but in the meantime here's a little breakdown:
- Every Monday @ 12:01 am MST projects are posted and polls open.
- Polls stay open until Tuesday @ 10 pm MST.
- Results are posted Wednesday @ 12:01 am MST.
- Guest blogger for the round is on Thursday.
- (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday are supposed to be highlights of stars and contestants, but obviously, I haven't kept up on that either).

2. What happened to the highlights? Only 8 of the 12 stars have been done. Are you going to be highlighting contestants as well?

I've been trying to stay up with all the contest posts, but I haven't been able to keep up with it all. Highlights are things that regrettably I've fallen behind on. I WILL do all of them (stars and contestants), because I really want you guys to see all the talented women involved in this competition and start reading their blogs for yourselves (if you aren't already). No promises when, but I'm going to try to get at least a few done this week.

3. I noticed The DIY Club emblem in your header, but noticed you haven't posted anything on that site. Are you going to?

Several months ago I was asked to be a resident blogger of The DIY Club. Each month various sponsors send me products that I get to use for projects. My first project was supposed to go up in January. I am currently working on that project and I hope it will be done this week. I had worked on it this past week and hated the result, so now I'm starting over. I will let you know when I have posts up over there.

Those are the main concerns I've been asked about. Feel free to email me any others you may have. Again, I apologize and hope you will all forgive me. You guys are great! Thank you so much for stopping by my little ole' piece of blogland and reading. It really means a lot to me.

  1. I get very sick with my pregnancies too. Do whatever you need to do... even if that means disappearing for a month (or 2). Normal functioning is pretty impossible when you feel like throwing up every minute of the day/night! We understand :)

  2. I was sick through all of my pregnancies, too. It will be worth it in the end, but it seems insanely long when you're going through it. I agree with the comment above, do what you need to do. Keep your family functioning, stay healthy, and take care of the blog when and if you can. This too shall pass.

  3. Don't you worry! It takes a lot of energy to grow a person, and sometimes those little people are very demanding before they are born! Thanks for the updates... the timeline for CWTS is super helpful for a newer reader. Thanks, and feel better!

  4. I feel so bad for you. I know how hard it is to keep up with my blog, work and have a family and I don't have any deadlines. Have you thought about asking someone to help you with this season?

  5. Girl, puh-leeeease. Rest. ;) Love the blog and the CWTS, but cooking a baby is some serious work! I was so, so, so sick with my last two. It's hard to accomplish anything when you feel so crappy. Hope the yucks hit the road soon and you can enjoy the last half of your pregnancy. :)

  9. You poor thing. I hear you in the horrible pregnancy department. I was hospitalized twice with my first pregnancy due to dehydration. Horrible time. You do not need to feel bad in any way! Blogs come last on all the list of things we mother's need to do, so you are fine. Buck up little camper!

  10. I feel your pain. I'm on my 3rd pregnancy and I'm halfway through as well and STILL just can't catch a break! We're all here for you and we totally understand. Don't be so rough on yourself! You're doing a great job!

  12. you are doing the most important thing - growing a new little bean. Take care of you and the rest will take care of itself. I love all of the features, but it is nowhere near as important as you. xoxo Bev

  14. Just do the best you can and that will eliminate the stress you feel about the blog. I know what it's like not to feel good every day. For me, on the good days, I go ninety miles an hour to catch up! ~karen

  15. I'm usually a lurker but I just had to say something... you have no reason to apologize! This blog is awesome and I love the updates. But, I have to say... unless these people are paying you to update everything, which I'm guessing they aren't, then they can wait. Take care of yourself and don't worry about blogland... we'll be here :)

  16. Each pregnancy got worse for me. DH often said if I was to get pregnant again he did not know if I would make it. So I have soooo BTDT. Hang in there! We will be here when you get back! :) Have you thought of asking for some help on the blog? Another blogger to post for you a few days a week and update your CWS tabs?? Just a thought! :) I am sure there are willing bloggers out there!

  17. Oh, poor little pregnant lady, don't apologize! So sorry you feel crappy, just know we aren't mad and you should just do what you can, when you can. Maybe you ought to revise the schedule - I bet the crafters wouldn't mind an extra couple of weeks between projects?

  18. i applaud you for doing all you have been doing! i wouldn't be able to do 1/4 of all that you have done (and are doing). oh my stars, pregnancies are horrible for me. i don't have that extra "glow" they say pregnant ladies have (unless that glow is stark white (from pain) or various colors of green (from nausea/throwing up)).
so seriously, don't apologize for ANYTHING! allow yourself some down time and take it easy. and tell that baby to stop being so naughty (haha).

  19. It is important that you take care of yourself. So you are doing well!! If you are behind...oh well! Life happens and no sense in beating yourself up about it. The important thing is that you get plenty of rest!! Pregnancy is hard work and you are, I am sure, totally tired out!!

  20. Your needs, baby's needs, and your family's needs are all that matters. You have made an amazing blog, but we all understand the demands of being a mother and wife. The blog can wait until you have time for it and for when you can enjoy it again. Let it be. Simplify. Peace.

  21. You poor thing. We are not thinking negatively of you at all. You can only do what you can do. Let yourself off the hook, we certainly are. Take care of yourself and ask for help. This too shall pass.

  22. seriously, you should listen to everyone! being sick is awful and we all understand.:)

  23. Seriously don't apologize to us!! You don't owe us anything! Take care of yourself and the sweet baby. We'll be here when you feel better, promise!!

  24. Ohh don't worry at all! I'm sure everyone understands. I am sorry you are feeling so yuck. Your little precious will make it all worth it! Take as much time as you need! We'll be here :)

  25. I agree with what everyone else has said, your family and health always come first! Take as long as you need, we'll miss you, but we will survive! :)

  26. Tam, I think everyone understands. I've never been pregnant, but I do know how it is to feel like you're letting people down when you're far too sick to take care of things the way you'd like to. It will be ok, and we are all hoping for things to get better for you! Don't worry about us - faithful followers will always be here. Take care of yourself and that little one! :)

  27. Oh booo, we all understand! I say worry about cooking that little sweetie in there and don't worry about little things like updating the tabs. It's not hard for those people to click "older posts"... ;)

I know you don't know me, but if you do need someone to help you out with compiling posts or info, lemme know. I'd be more than happy to help out with anything. Feel better soon, hope this baby starts taking it easier on you!

  28. Oh my gosh Tam! We are not upset at you at all. I love crafting and blogging but when things happen in real life that is more important.
I had super bad morning sickness with my pragnancies, especially the first one. I pretty much lived on water melon for the first 6 months.

I hope you will feel better soon. Just take care of yourself, and take it easy! Best wishes. :)
