Living in Utah Has Its Advantages

This past weekend Kate and Sara of Our Best Bites were in my neck of the woods doing a couple of book signings. I was able to break away, along with my pal Char, to meet these two wonderful ladies.
(Me, Char, Sara, Kate)
They were so sweet and friendly, and we enjoyed chatting with them for a few minutes. (Plus it was nice to be somewhere without children in tow).

I’ve also tried a few more of their recipes recently.
I needed to use up some French bread I had on hand, so I used that instead of Texas-style toast like the recipe calls for, and it was scrumptious. A definite hit with my family!

And in honor of “The Princess and the Frog” my girls and I made New Orleans-style Beignets.
While mine may not be that pretty (I think I rolled my dough too thin), they were delicious!

Just a reminder that you still have one more day to enter to win your own copy of the Our Best Bites cookbook.
Trust me this is one cookbook you want in your home!!! Go here to enter the giveaway!
