Let’s Talk Craft Stores

As creative (or wannabe creative) people, we have to pick up our supplies from somewhere. My question to all of you today is which store do you prefer to shop at? Do you want to know where I go 99.9% of the time?
Michaels. For a couple of reasons:
1) It’s the closest craft store to my house. Simple enough, but I actually do have a better reason than that,
2) They carry SOOO many of the things I use for my project needs.

For example:
Martha Stewart Glitter. We all know it’s the best glitter around, and the only place I could find it was at Michaels.
Martha Stewart Glitter
For both of those projects, I bought my DecoArt paint at Michaels.

Bought the actual unfinished wooden stepstool there as well as the Krylon spraypaint.

And that’s just a sampling. If you are like me and like to shop at Michaels, how does a 40% off coupon sound?
Great, right? Well that’s exactly you can get today. Click below or here to get your own coupon and let Michaels help you out with all your creative endeavors!

Happy Crafting!

  1. I do Hobby Lobby and they too offer a 40% coupon every week! Very cool!

  2. Michael's also takes competitor coupons (I think so does AC Moore's).

  3. My local Michael's has really gone downhill lately, so I only go there if I have to! I go to Jo-Ann most of the time, because they always offer coupons and they take competitor coupons too. I love Hobby Lobby, but the closest one is 2 hrs away :(

  4. I have to say Hobby Lobby is my go to craft store because it is closest. I am headed out to Michael's to pick up that glitter sampler by Martha Stewart. I've had "glitter toes" bookmarked for awhile. I'm due for a pedi. I'm going to try it. Woo hoo!

  5. I wish Hobby Lobby would get with the times and update their technology. They are always so SLOW because they have to punch in every item individually! I can only imagine the pain someone has to go through for inventory without a barcode system-- and even barcodes are becoming obsolete now! I won't even start on their horrible web site. . . Really, what is the excuse for not having good technology in today's world? I tend to love Michael's because of the selection and it is usually emptier than the other craft stores nearby. Who wants to stand in crowded lines all day when you have a basket full of crafting materials? Get me out of there ASAP!
