Wow this has been a long time coming! You guys ready for it?! I know I am!
The Finished Guest Bedroom

I L.O.V.E. it!!! (Probably because of the yellow, remember it’s my favorite color?) It was a lot of work, but everytime I walk in there, it makes me so happy and all the time and effort were worth it.
Let’s do a recap of what exactly is in this room, shall we?
It all started with my decorative plate. See it sitting over on the nightstand?
Next came the duvet cover.
Followed by some throw pillows - Sunny Side Up,
and more recently, the Round Rosette pillow.
After painting 12” stripes on the walls, they needed some décor - “Keep Calm and Carry On” sign,
and Styrofoam Wall Art.
The DIY Cornice {No Sew Fabric-Covered Valance} and drapes from IKEA make up the window treatment.
A refinished nightstand and mirror, revamped lamp, and spray painted owl helped me get closer to the finished room.
That just leaves the Shutters Headboard.
Put them all together and voila!
My gray and yellow guest bedroom. Isn’t it pretty? I seriously love it so much!!!!

ReplyDeleteI am so impressed! I think you did a beautiful job, especially on the duvet cover! I can't believe you made that yourself!
ReplyDeleteMay I make a suggestion? As a person who often stays with in-laws/parents out of state, a few practical things you'll want to include in your guest room for your guests to really be comfortable:
Clock
Kleenex
Clothes bin
Trash can
They will really make a difference. Again, great work! I'm gonna go read the duvet cover tutorial!

ReplyDeleteYou gave me my inspiration to design my room. I'm actually sitting in the middle of my freshly painted room contemplating how to do my stripes. I'm doing them in a very light gray and a bright and beautiful, almost neon, blue. I'm a 16 year old first time painter and this room gave me the balls to go at it. I love how you've done everything!
