My Latest Thrifty Treasure

A couple of months ago I was walking through the thrift store when I saw this:
Before-chandelier
Not very spectacular, right? But I knew it could be, and for $5 I picked it up.
An image started coming together in my mind.

Lovely transformation, right? Wait maybe you need to see it with the lights on.

Big difference, huh?

It’s perfect for my daughters’ room, which is yet another room in my house I’m redoing. It’s getting close to being done and I can’t wait to share the finished room with you. Bright colors and so much fun. My girls are loving it!

I used Valspar Spray Paint from Lowes and the color is Gloss Exotic Sea. Isn’t is lovely? I’m really digging it right now.

I grabbed the crystals at Hobby Lobby.
 Beads
They were fairly inexpensive to start with ($1.99/pkg), but I snagged them when they were 50% off so my entire chandelier was about $10! Sweet!

Ahhhh. Don’t you just love spray paint?

  7. I love the chandelier! What a transformation! I have chandy that my husband picked up at a re-store for me and I wanted to add some crystals to it. I went it to hobby lobby today and could not find them ANYWHERE! I looked mostly in the jewelry making section, but to no avail. I even check Joann, but still couldn't find them. Could you tell me what section you found them in? Thanks. :)

  8. lizrunge87 - I found them in the beads/jewelry section of Hobby Lobby. There were two different sizes that I used. Sorry they weren't there! Maybe they were just out?
