You guys have been so patient with me in regards to Jessica’s room makeover.
We had a little setback a couple of weeks ago because the plug on my compressor fried. Literally started smoking and burning. Good thing it was plugged into a surge protector.
However, I got a new plug and we got back on track last week.
As a refresher this is how the room started.
And this is how it looks right now.
Yep, we added board and batten. I love the look it gives a room! (Well when it’s done, lol
).
The caulking and spackling is being done even as we speak.
If you Google board and batten tutorial, you will find a plethora of tutorials.
Even though I didn’t use one specific tutorial and kind of did my own thing, I’m not going to give you another board and batten tutorial.
Instead here’s a round-up of 10 tutorials I looked over to get me started.
One thing I do have to say is I was surprised how easy it really was.
And I didn’t have one.single.man help me. Jess helped me hold the boards level while I nailed them in place, but this is definitely a project you could DO BY YOURSELF. I mean if I can – then you can!
So if you’ve been wanting to add board and batten somewhere in your house – take the plunge! I promise you won’t regret it!!

I love this :) Such cute room makeovers. I need to do that in a couple of my rooms :) I haven't stopped by your blog for awhile, but I started my own so I am reminding myself of some of the blogs I like and how they are set up :) you should come check out mine www.angelaluvnlife.wordpress.com
